Iceland Declares Christianity A Public Health Hazard

The island country of Iceland has officially declared Christianity a public health hazard. The law proclaiming the radical idea was signed recently by *Prime Minister Sigurður Ingi Jóhannsson in the spirit of “protecting the elderly from scams, our children from nightmares, and the general population from chicanery.”

As strong as the law’s language is, it does not restrict the free exercise of religion by any citizen or visitor.

A coalition of Lutherans, Catholics, and other Christian sects have formed an organization to combat the image that they contribute to the erosion of psychological well-being.

“Yes, certain rogues have used Christianity to fleece the old and give hellish nightmares to the young,” explained Reverend Andrew Canard.

“However, faith requires the acknowledgment of not knowing and we can all agree simplistic and often contradictory answers found in the Bible are the answers to not knowing.”

The new law urges Icelandic society to, “pick up a book” and to “engage fellow human beings in the spirit of compassion regardless of creed.” It also calls for research to determine the best path to promote Humanist values around the world.

This is NOT a witch hunt

Pro-reason activists hail the recent events as a victory against superstition. Some local Catholics are calling the measure a “witch hunt.”

“A witch hunt is where a mob attacks the weakest members of society and prosecutes them typically via a sham trial. The mob then executes the poor soul. The last time I checked, the Catholic Church were the undisputed champions of the world in such games for centuries,” stated an anonymous citizen.

American Republican Presidential hopefuls are calling the events transpiring in Iceland “dangerous” and wonder if such a brazen act of divine disobedience may mean that the country is not fit to be in NATO.

Both Democratic candidates are afraid to point out that the predominantly Muslim country of Turkey is,well, a predominantly Muslim country because they would be branded as “egg-heads.”

    2. It should claim "RELIGION is A Public Health Hazard".

    3. I have a feeling it isn't actually religion that's dangerous - the health hazards are really the people with unproveable ideas involved. Since humans have never ever come across any code, language, text, etc, that did not require intelligence in it's design and understanding it puts the coded information in DNA into a new perspective and proves were are designed beings. If we turn this info into a nightmare then that is our lack of understanding of religion.

It's just as well that this news is not real as it says at the foot of the text.

  2. I think this is the best idea yet.
Some of these churches preach hate an violence. They are no better than the radicalxislamists. Yet they claim to be charities. They spend less than 1% of their income helping the poor. Ministers fly around in private jets and drive luxury cars. Live in mansions. Those are not charities. The Westbrook Batista church is not a charity. They are hate groups.
I have no problem with you following your religion in church or mosque, but in public it means respecting others. Not hiding behind a veil.
There is no heaven or hell, it is all a scam to get your money out of you or control you. Heaven is when there is no need of fighting, where we all respect and help each other.
Personally the sooner they tax them the better I will feel.
I'm not an atheist or a Christian. I know what the bible tries to teach us and what the Koran tries to teach. Sadly man has out thought the books. Instead of taking it as the time as written, removing the parts that no longer apply and living the good life that they tried to teach.
No where in the Koran is a single word said against gay people. The same in the bible. What they did talk about was rape. Where men rape men or woman. Now to understand why that would have been said. It was common practice at that time for the victors in battle to rape and degrade the men before selling them off as slaves.
Today we state slabery is wrong, people must earn a fair wage for a fare dais work. We no longer sell the enermy as slaves after the battle. We allow the people to heal. Therefor it stands to reason that all this hate and fearmongering that preachers preach about is wrong and needs to stop. I hate seeing street preachers. The are speaking about things they don't know. Following misted in translations and preaching hate or murder. This is a good step preventing them from doing that. Go preach in your church

    1. I doubt that you spent many years in the study of science, history, philosophy and theology. If you had you would hold a very different perspective.

  6. Find a religion that doesn't ask you for money. There is one that I know of. They dont go to war, they dont vote. There has never been an act of violence in the name of their religion. They arent 6000 yr old earthers. They will refuse blood transfusions, though, but not other medical intervention. Im sure you can guess who they are by now. P.S. I am not religious AT ALL.

  9. This law is ineffective unless they include Islam on the list. With all the immigrants coming in, they better do it before they become a political power. Hail Odin!

  10. I agree, but if Island declares one religion public health hazard, it should do the same for all religions, otherwise they will lose my support!!

  11. Icelanders' dna points out what is the tendency of human genetic condition. It's only getting worse. 20 million genetic mutations, 1,171 different whole gene knockouts, a huge amount of silenced genes etc. prove that evolution is not happening. Biological information is only lost. Humankind will be in trouble in the near future.

The genetic degradation of Icelanders has left certain consequences (sarcasm alert):

    - 0.0% of Icelanders 25 years or younger believe God created the world.
    - Iceland scored dead last amongst western European countries in PISA (Programme for International Student Assessment) tests. (http://icelandmonitor.mbl.is/news/news/2016/12/08/worst_ever_pisa_results_for_icelandic_schoolchildre/)
